Coney Island Lunch has been a staple in this area since 1918 and it looks like It has never been updated since then. It’s a unique looking place and I love the nostalgia; however it might not be a bad idea to clean this place, it’s pretty dirty. The town of Shamokin is unique too. I saw more 4 wheelers and side by sides on the street than I did cars.
They only serve hot dogs and hamburgers, no fries, no other sides, only bags of chips and Big Ben’s soda. I feel like I’d probably like this place a bit more if I grew up on it, but overall, I was not a fan.
THE RATINGS:
Burger with everything: 5/10. The onions and peppers were weird, the burger was okay.
Hot dog with everything: 4/10. The hot dog wasn’t terrible, but the onions smelled like wet dog.
Big Ben’s Cola: 8.5/10
