Franco’s Lounge, Wiliamsport, PA.

I’ve been wanting to get to Franco’s for years and finally had an opportunity. It is a very small restaurant in downtown Williamsport, PA. and does require reservations for the most part. I think overall the food was fine, but I thought it would be a lot better. The atmosphere was great, and I would imagine that if you dined here decades ago and came back, you wouldn’t notice much of a difference, there’s something to be said about that.

What made this unique were the decorative fixtures throughout, you have to ring a doorbell to get in, and they offer complimentary Limoncello shots for dessert.

Be warned though, the music sucks in my opinion. I don’t even know what most of it was, but I heard some Dave Matthews and Beatles and I dislike both of them.

THE RATINGS:

  • Homemade Bread: 8/10

  • Side Salad w/House Dressing & Blue Cheese Crumbles: 6.5/10

  • Calamari Fritti - House: 8/10. Had a unique flavor, almost nutty in a sense.

  • Meatball - 7.5/10

  • Cheese Ravioli - 7.5/10

  • Seafood Fra Diablo - 8/10. Had the right amount of heat.
