The Restaurant and Buffet at Oregon Dairy, Lititz, PA.

Oregon Dairy’s buffet is pretty similar to most of the other buffets in the area. Some of the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting out for quite a while, although I did notice certain items being replenished while dining.

It was an okay experience, with a few items that surprisingly stood out. I thought the chicken pot pie would be good as it’s a staple for the area, but it was pretty awful. The salad bar included hot bacon salad dressing. This may not be for everyone, but I grew up on it and loved seeing it on the buffet. The homemade chicken rice soup was out of this world; whereas the rice pudding was terrible. It’s really a mix of the good, the bad, and the ugly.

It’s a pretty nice location with a playground for kids and it’s attached to a grocery store that had somewhat unique items that you don’t see in other grocery stores outside of this general area. I do like the old school charm of the dining area, especially the train that travels around the restaurant, you don’t see that room much anymore these days. I’d image if you time traveled back to the mid 80’s, nothing has changed .
