Americana Kitchen, Coral Gables, FL.
Americana Kitchen is in the lobby of the Loews hotel, located in the Plaza in Coral Gables, and it’s pretty much what I expected: mediocre food at the cost of convenience.
I mainly had breakfast there and a few beers in the evening. A very simple breakfast will set you back about $40. Again, it’s convenient, but there’s really nothing special about it, and it’s way overpriced.
The atmosphere is great, though. If you sit outside, it’s shaded and usually the perfect temperature with a nice breeze on spring mornings, which makes it worthwhile to hang out for a bit if you’re in no rush.

Hash a Lo Cubano: 7/10 (the plantains were great)
Chef’s Blend Burger: 6.5/10
